How are headstones packaged to ensure safe transit?

We use styrofoam to protect the headstone, then wrap it in plastic. We also reuse packing materials from our suppliers to reduce waste while keeping your shipment safe during its journey.

Are there weight or size restrictions for shipping?

No, there are no limits on the weight or size of our memorials for shipping.

Are there any customs or import duties when shipping to Samoa, Tonga, Rarotonga, or Niue?

We handle customs fees from New Zealand to the destination. Once the memorial arrives, the family is responsible for any local customs fees, as these charges can vary.

Does Jatem assist families with customs paperwork?

Yes, we can provide a pro forma invoice, if needed, as proof of purchase when the headstone arrives. Some families request this document, while others do not.

How long does it typically take to ship to these regions?

Shipping times depend on the destination. For the main islands, it usually takes about two weeks. For outer islands, shipping can take up to a month, or families may need to pick up the headstone from the main island.

Is there an option to track shipments?

We do not provide a tracking number. Instead, as the delivery date approaches, we communicate directly with the shipping company to get an estimated time of arrival. We then share this information with the family, along with contact details, so they know when to expect the headstone.

Does Jatem offer shipping insurance?

Yes, we provide insurance for all shipments. If anything happens during shipping, we will cover the cost. We have strong relationships with several shipping companies to ensure your headstone arrives safely.
